Meet Richard Liebowitz

A New York-based Broadway producer, photographer, entrepreneur, and patron of the arts, Richard Liebowitz is a travel buff who enjoys the experiences he’s had while exploring new places. Rarely seen without a camera in his hand, Richard loves his life as a photographer and all of the once-in-a-lifetime photography moments that he’s had on his travels. 

A lot of the professional experience that Richard has accumulated serves to aid him during his travels. Richard Liebowitz is skilled at social networking, a trait that allows him to meet people, immerse himself better with locals, and build more connections all around the world while he travels. He is also skilled in photography, building an entire career as a renowned photographer, which allows him to view the world around him through a unique and beautiful lens.

Throughout his career, Richard Liebowitz has amassed a number of skills. He’s distinguished himself in numerous areas, including media relations, startups, social networking, public speaking, legal research, legal writing, marketing, new business development, and photojournalism, among other things. 

Richard Liebowitz is a well-rounded multihyphenate whose career has included work in the arts, photography, and theatre industries. He recently worked as a Broadway Producer when, in 2022, he brought Sam Rockwell, Laurence Fishburn, and Darren Criss into his production of American Buffalo, a David Mamet play that had its original Broadway premiere in 1977. Richard also invested in the first all-things-Broadway museum in Times Square.

As a photographer and photojournalist with years of experience under his belt, Richard Liebowitz has had the opportunity to work with some of the greats. His book – Apprentice! Lessons Learned on the Frontlines of Life – detailed his experience working as an intern for Bruce Cotler, the famous New York photographer. In early 2022, Richard combined his passions for photography and entrepreneurship when he founded and opened Noir Press. 

Alongside his career and hobbies, Richard Liebowitz is a devoted member of his community who believes deeply in the importance of being involved and giving back. He volunteers with The Bowery Mission, a homeless shelter and soup kitchen that serves the increasing number of New Yorkers who experience homelessness, hunger, and poverty. With the help of volunteers like Richard, the organization has provided more than a quarter of a million meals, 20,000 donated articles of clothing, and 56,000 nights of shelter.
